Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been announced as the sequel to Metal gear Solid 4. Unlike the PSP title Metal Gear Solid: Rising this title is written and directed by Hideo Kojima himself. Not much is known about this new game except that the game is in 1979 and there are 4 big bosses, I am truly, truly confused. The graphics look on par with MGS2, but not as great as MGS3. I'm not too sure if this will be a great prequel, but I’ll keep on looking out for a proper game, like Metal gear Solid 5.
On the other hand another game which isn't directed or written or produced by Kojima called Metal gear Solid: Rising will be coming for net generation consoles. It features Raiden as the main character. It is not known if it is a prequel or sequel to MGS4. My only guess is that it is a prequel because of the definitive ending of MGS4, also the fact that it shows Raiden in his Ninja gear only adds to the fact that it will be a prequel.
